Test drive the Ferrari 12Cilindri in Luxembourg—the refined and sensual duality of a traditional V12
Fusion of Tradition and Innovation – Balancing Beauty and Functionality
Its impressive form fuses two distinct elements: tradition and innovation. In the 1950s and 60s, Italian carrozzerias, representing the golden age of Italian design like Pininfarina, elevated automobiles to the realm of art by embodying cutting-edge technology and aesthetics of the time through Ferrari's V12 grand tourers.

Chief Design Officer Flavio Manzoni states, "We wanted to fundamentally change the style code of V12 front-midship engines up to now," while inheriting this legacy of beauty.
The design of the 12Cilindri perfectly embodies this intention. Its flowing silhouette, with a long nose and short deck composed of smooth curves, is exceptionally refined and filled with classical beauty. Meanwhile, from the rear window to the rear deck, it adopts a shape inspired by the delta wing of the supersonic airliner "Concorde." This fusion of Italian design tradition and innovation expresses the next generation of Ferrari V12s. It can be seen as an attempt to reinterpret the ideal of "sculpting speed," pursued by the maestros of the past, with modern technology.

The pursuit of aerodynamics is also noteworthy. Replacing the traditional fixed rear spoiler, it features two movable flaps integrated with the rear screen. These form a 10-degree angle relative to the horizontal plane between 60 km/h and 300 km/h, generating approximately 50 kg of downforce at 250 km/h. Even more remarkable is that the increase in drag caused by this system is suppressed to just 5%. It ensures aerodynamic stability at high speeds without compromising the beautiful design.
