TAG Heuer has added three new models to its "TAG Heuer Autavia" collection. The "TAG Heuer Autavia 60th Anniversary Flyback Chronograph" is available in two versions, and the "TAG Heuer Autavia 60th Anniversary GMT," which marks the collection's first-ever GMT function, is available in one version.

TAG Heuer has unveiled three new models, paying homage to the legendary "Autavia" collection, born in 1962. Two "TAG Heuer Autavia 60th Anniversary Flyback Chronograph" models are offered: one features a silver dial and polished steel case, inspired by the rare "panda dial" produced in extremely limited quantities in the 1960s. The other model features a black dial and a DLC-coated case, with an exterior that directly references past military models.

Both models are equipped with the in-house Calibre Heuer02 COSC Flyback for the first time. The flyback function, which allows the chronograph to be reset and a new measurement to begin instantly without stopping the chronograph, has a history of being crucial in high-pressure situations, such as recording lap times on a race track. The release of these two flyback chronographs is a further homage to TAG Heuer's rich history in sports timing.

The "Autavia" watch collection, first launched under the leadership of Jack Heuer 60 years ago, was named by combining two pillars that supported TAG Heuer's history: AUTomobile and AVIAtion. Initially, it was used for dashboard timers in automobiles and aircraft from 1933 onwards, but as TAG Heuer's interest in watches grew, the "Autavia" name also came to be used for timepieces.

The 1550 SG model, specially manufactured as a German Air Force flyback chronograph in the late 1960s, was highly valued by pilots for its ease of use and reliability, and it remains highly popular among collectors today. This new model inherits the distinctive chronograph pushers and large crown of the 1550 SG model, both inspired by TAG Heuer's historical dashboard timers.

Furthermore, the "legibility," another characteristic that enhanced the reputation of TAG Heuer chronographs, has been inherited. The hour markers and hands on the dial are treated with Super-LumiNova®, clearly displaying the time. These are inspired by the "73663" from the historical Autavia collection, and a dial variation with large luminous Arabic numerals is also adopted. Additionally, the bidirectional rotating bezel, a hallmark of the Autavia's DNA, and the front and back sapphire crystals enhance the durability and practicality of this model.

The "TAG Heuer Autavia 60th Anniversary GMT," featuring the collection's first new three-hand GMT, is equipped with the COSC-certified Calibre 7. As the collection's first complication, it offers a perfect configuration for those who love land and air travel. The polished steel case is paired with a magnificent blue and black ceramic bezel, and the vibrant blue sunray dial features numerals and hands coated with Super-LumiNova® for enhanced legibility.

All three new models come with a steel bracelet or an alligator leather strap, equipped with a folding clasp with a double push-button. The straps can also be easily interchanged, allowing for customization with separately sold straps.
