The nationwide watch select shop "TiCTAC" has begun handling "BREW WATCH Co.," a micro watch brand from Brooklyn, New York. This will be an exclusive pre-sale at the TiCTAC Ikebukuro Parco store and official online store, making it the world's first permanent store for the brand.

BREW WATCH Co. was founded in 2014 by industrial designer Jonathan Ferrer. After studying industrial design at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, Ferrer worked on watch designs for numerous brands, including Crayola and Coleman, during his studies.

The brand, which advocates for a conceptual shift from "measuring time" to "savoring time," expresses the beauty and space of time through its watch products, drawing parallels to the meticulous process of brewing coffee. The brand name "BREW" embodies the meaning of "to brew, steep, or extract," and this unique approach has been highly praised by American watch specialty media such as "HODINKEE" and "Worn & Wound."

In its home country of the United States, the brand is positioned as a rare commodity, with its products only available for viewing during limited-time POP-UP events. The first pop-up event, held in New York's SoHo in February 2024, was a great success, and models sold out instantly at the second event in the Lower East Side in May of the same year.

Regarding the reason for entering the Japanese market, Ferrer stated, "If you just need to measure time, a smartphone is sufficient, but watches exist for savoring time. Japan has an aesthetic sensibility that values 'ma' (space/pause), and I felt it would resonate with our warm, retro-futuristic aesthetic."

To commemorate its Japan debut, a limited edition of 100 units, the "MTRC-JPN-EDN" based on the popular "Metric" series, will be released. This model embodies the brand's philosophy, with only the indices for 25-35 minutes—the optimal brewing time for coffee—colored in orange on a black dial.

Other notable models include the "Metric - Retro Dial" with a cushion-shaped case reminiscent of 1970s TV screens, the "Metric - Black & Gold Carbon" combining forged carbon with PVD black/gold, the "Super Metric" with its striking burnt orange dial, and the "Retrograph - Espresso" which visualizes espresso brewing time.

The initial pre-sale will start at the TiCTAC Ikebukuro Parco store and the official online store, with plans for sequential rollout to major TiCTAC stores. The brand is recognized among watch enthusiasts as a "watch with a story." It appears poised to bring a fresh perspective to the watch world.
