TAG Heuer has once again joined forces with Japan's leading racing team, "Team Ikuzawa," and Bamford Watch Department to announce the new limited edition, "TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph × Team Ikuzawa." This marks the second collaboration, following their initial partnership in 2023.

Reinterpreting a Masterpiece Vintage Model

Team Ikuzawa, established in 1981, is a premier racing team representing Japan. Currently, Mai Ikuzawa, who stands at the intersection of motorsport, design, fashion, and luxury, serves as the Team Principal and Creative Director.

Born in Tokyo, Mai Ikuzawa studied at Central Saint Martins in London and has cultivated a career of over 20 years in fashion, art, and design. Under her direction, Team Ikuzawa blends motorsport heritage with contemporary design, creating unique and sophisticated creations.

This time again, Mai Ikuzawa partnered with her long-time ally, George Bamford. Together with Bamford, known for his customization of timepieces and reinterpretation of iconic designs, they created a timepiece that captures the spirit of Team Ikuzawa, based on the TAG Heuer "Heuer Roadmaster Stopwatch."

Mai Ikuzawa and George Bamford began by thoroughly dissecting the "Heuer Roadmaster Stopwatch" and its surrounding visual language. They reinterpreted everything from graphic elements and proportions to color accents through the contemporary aesthetic of Team Ikuzawa.

The result is a timepiece that fuses historical motor-racing elements with a modern design language that conveys the team's authentic legacy.

The case is a reinterpretation of the 39mm "TAG Heuer Carrera Glassbox." Crafted from stainless steel with satin and polished finishes, it features a bezel-less glassbox construction, offering an unobstructed view of the dial and flange. This high legibility reflects the philosophy that founder Jack Heuer imbued in the "TAG Heuer Carrera."

Limited to 150 pieces worldwide, each watch is engraved with an individual serial number. This model revives the atmosphere of an era when motor sports were driven by human connection—between driver and machine, and among people—rather than technology, through sophisticated design language and graphics. The "TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph × Team Ikuzawa" is not merely a nostalgic nod to the past; it is a model that embodies the very passion of that era.
