1. Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair

Organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the "Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair" is one of the world's largest exhibitions, attracting top brands and watch manufacturers from across the globe. While primarily for buyers, this year's fair is particularly anticipated by industry insiders as it marks the first full-scale event since Hong Kong fully reopened its borders.
The special "Pageant of Eternity" zone will showcase a wide array of high-end timepieces. The fair will also feature a broad range of categories including "Complete Watches," "Watches," "Machinery & Equipment," "OEM Smart Watches," "Packaging & Display," "Parts & Accessories," and "Trade Services." This comprehensive scope offers a holistic view of the entire watch industry, not just finished products. Furthermore, attendees can witness the dynamic market firsthand, a unique advantage given Hong Kong's proximity to the vast mainland Chinese market.

2. Salon de TE

Renowned for its luxurious displays, "Salon de TE" will be held concurrently with the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair. The "World Brand Piazza," a highlight among the five themed zones, will feature exclusive models and rare timepieces from premier international brands. For two days, September 8th and 9th, the event will be open not only to buyers but also to the general public.
This year's theme is "Guo Chao (国潮)※." Leading watch manufacturers from mainland China will present a diverse range of timepieces, blending exquisite craftsmanship with sophisticated Chinese culture. Mr. Ma Xushu, a member of the Académie Horlogère des Créateurs Indépendants and renowned as a "master of watches," will also be participating. His representative work, "Starry Night," features a dial with optical hands that display the hour and minute simultaneously. In his creations, the sidereal day cycle is not a standard 24 hours, but 23 hours, 56 minutes, and 4 seconds. The case back of the watch replicates the celestial map above Beijing.

※Guo Chao: A portmanteau of "Guofeng Chaoliu" (Chinese-style trend), referring to a style that fuses elements of traditional Chinese culture with contemporary trends.
Throughout the fair, numerous events will be held, including watch parades, seminars, buyer forums, and networking events. The Hong Kong International Watch Forum, scheduled for September 5, 2023, will bring together representatives from major global watch associations to discuss international transaction performance and market trends for the upcoming year. At the Asian Watch Conference on September 6, the international research firm Euromonitor will reveal the latest market dynamics, and industry professionals will share insights on watch design trends.
