New Models Inspired by the "Glassbox" Design

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of its iconic Carrera watch, TAG Heuer is releasing two new models: the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph and the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon.

The TAG Heuer Carrera, a flagship model, has adorned the wrists of cool icons—musicians, athletes, and celebrities—since its debut in 1963, symbolizing ambition, achievement, and refinement.

For this anniversary, designers and watchmakers have focused on refining the form. While preserving the pure, simple, and functional design inherited over 60 years, they have introduced modern updates.

The stainless steel case measures a standard 39mm in diameter. It has been ergonomically refined to ensure a comfortable fit on any wrist.

The sapphire crystal resembles the domed hesalite glass found in Carrera models from the 1970s, but it has been newly developed to be seamlessly molded to the dial's edge along the curves of the tachymeter scale. Similarly, the flange and indices have been curved, further enhancing the watch's seamless beauty, coherence, and legibility.

The new pushers have also been redesigned for optimal shape and placement for user comfort. The functional beauty, firmly rooted in its role as a wristwatch, is the charm of the Carrera.

The Carrera Chronograph is available in two models. One features a signature blue dial with a calfskin strap, while the other presents a playful "reverse panda" dial in black and silver.

Accompanying these is the first "Glassbox" TAG Heuer Carrera to feature a tourbillon.

This elegant new model adopts the same design codes as the sporty TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph. The only difference is that the dial is raised at the 6 o'clock position, revealing the tourbillon cage.

To reflect the mechanical beauty of the tourbillon, each element of the watch has been finished with refined elegance.

For instance, the curved sapphire crystal and flowing form allow the beauty of the tourbillon to be enjoyed from a wide angle. On the dial, subtle curves on the flange and indices harmonize with the crystal's edge, creating an elegant ambiance.

The deep blue subdials with azurage finishing offer a sharp contrast with the silver rings, enhancing not only the design but also the legibility of the chronograph. The minute track on the outer edge of the dial, accented with vibrant orange hour markers, adds a touch of flair to the overall composition.

While honoring the tradition of the TAG Heuer Carrera, this new collection was developed to speak to the future. The Carrera will undoubtedly continue to evolve while maintaining its strong identity.
