Evolution in Structure and Module Enables the "FROGMAN" Series' First Analog Display

The "FROGMAN" is a professional diver's watch series designed for rigorous underwater use, boasting ISO 200-meter water resistance and a distinctive asymmetrical design that ensures freedom of wrist movement. It is a shock-resistant diver's watch.
To meet the needs of divers who require quantitative measurement of dive times, this model achieves the series' first analog display through advancements in its structure and module. The case is crafted from a carbon fiber-reinforced resin material, combining the lightness of resin with the strength of metal. A carbon monocoque case, where the case back and case are integrated into a single structure using carbon fiber-reinforced resin, ensures high strength and reduced weight. Furthermore, the strap is made from fluoroelastomer, a material resistant to staining and degradation from hydrolysis, allowing for comfortable wear over extended periods.
In dive mode, the hour and minute hands overlap to form a single, highly visible hand, clearly indicating the elapsed dive time. The newly developed module features three dual-coil motors that independently drive the hour, minute, and 8 o'clock sub-dial hands, enabling swift switching between current time and dive time displays.
It is equipped with a Super Illuminator that illuminates the dial with a bright light, proving useful even during dives in low-light conditions. In addition to radio-controlled timekeeping and solar power, it features smartphone connectivity for the first time in the "FROGMAN" series. Beyond automatic time correction, linking with a dedicated application allows for recording dive sites and durations, enabling a review of diving logs. The frog illustration engraved on the case back since the series' inception now playfully holds hands, symbolizing the first analog model.
