The fourth collaborative product design between TAG Heuer and Porsche pays tribute to the Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7, the first 911 to bear the Carrera name, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2022. Two models, which fully express its racing spirit and performance, are sure to excite.

Unveiled in Paris on October 5, 1972, the Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 was the most powerful road-legal model designed for racing and rallying at the time, and the first 911 to be named Carrera. It remains an iconic sports car, highly sought after by collectors today.

The TAG Heuer Carrera, too, has been an iconic wristwatch since its debut in 1963, boasting immense popularity. Its name originates from the legendary road race "Carrera Panamericana Mexico," and it is a chronograph that offers optimal timekeeping and legibility for high-speed racing, while also embodying sophisticated design that carries forward sports elegance.

These two models, a collaboration between two legends sharing the "Carrera" name, both feature a power reserve of approximately 80 hours and are equipped with the Calibre Heuer 02, an in-house movement representing the pinnacle of chronograph technology. Adorned with the TAG Heuer and Porsche logos, the rotor, designed to evoke Porsche's three-spoke steering wheel, is visible through the sapphire crystal case back.

While the Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 was available in 27 colors, red and blue have been chosen here. Just as they provided a striking contrast against the bright white of the car's body, each color is presented as a beautiful two-tone design on the pristine white opaline dial.

The Blue Edition is limited to 500 pieces. From the blue lacquered chronograph and central hands, the shield logo on the pushers and crown, to the sub-dial on the right that evokes a beautiful rim, Porsche's design codes are seamlessly integrated into this TAG Heuer timepiece.

Particularly eye-catching is the side of the case. Porsche's distinctive color stripes and Carrera logo, which were painted onto the car's body panels, are boldly designed onto the case sides.

Furthermore, the Blue Edition comes not only with a steel bracelet featuring H-shaped links but also with a sporty fabric strap bearing the Porsche logo and Carrera mark.

In TAG Heuer's collaborations with Porsche, expressions have often been confined to the dial. However, this model allows one to feel the Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 through the case and strap as well. It's fascinating how the approach to car design, which utilizes the entire vehicle as a canvas, has been translated into a watch.

Meanwhile, the Red Edition is even more exclusive, limited to just 250 pieces. Porsche's signature fiery red color is also used for the chronograph seconds hand, the small seconds hand, and the markings on the sub-dials and flange.

For the Red Edition, the case, as well as the crown, pushers, and screw-down sapphire crystal case back, are crafted from 18K rose gold. A luxurious alligator strap with an 18K rose gold pin buckle complements this sophisticated case.

Each watch is presented in a special TAG Heuer x Porsche double-branded package featuring vibrant accent colors matching the watch, and has been available since October 5, 2022, at TAG Heuer boutiquesand official online boutiques.
