TAG Heuer has launched the "Monza Calibre Heuer 02 Flyback Chronometer" as a new addition to its "Monza" series.

The "Monza" is an original TAG Heuer model launched to commemorate Niki Lauda's historic victory in the 1975 F1 World Championship. Named after Italy's premier racing circuit, it is an impressive timepiece that showcases TAG Heuer's deep passion for motorsport.

The 2023 model of the "Monza," the "TAG Heuer Monza Calibre Heuer 02 Flyback Chronometer," has now been announced. This is a special edition featuring a 42mm case crafted from ultra-lightweight and durable carbon.

The striking black dial features two registers: a chronograph counter at 3 o'clock with a semi-transparent fume blue sapphire crystal, and a permanent seconds indicator at 6 o'clock. The skeletonized, unique dial allows a view of the movement beneath.

The date display window at 9 o'clock is treated with blue luminescent paint, a first for TAG Heuer. The blue lacquered indices and the black and white lacquered hour and minute hands are coated with Super-LumiNova, ensuring optimal legibility even in low light.

It is also equipped with TAG Heuer's chronograph movement, the "Calibre Heuer 02 Flyback." The ability to reset the chronograph without stopping it was previously only featured in the "TAG Heuer Autavia" within the current collection, enabling faster and more accurate timekeeping. Furthermore, it includes a tachymeter to measure average speed over 1km or 1 mile on a black flange indicator, and a pulsometer to measure heart rate per minute.

Beyond its exceptional functionality, the design, which carries on tradition, clearly inherits a true racing spirit. The "TAG Heuer Monza," filled with motorsport heritage and iconic details, will continue to exist as a racing machine worn for generations to come.

The price is 1,672,000 yen (tax included). Launched in January 2023, this chronograph comes in a special package and is exclusively available at TAG Heuer boutiques, the official online boutique, and select authorized TAG Heuer retailers.
