New for 2021: OMEGA's "Seamaster 300" Master Chronometer Certified Models Inherit Original Vintage Design

Inheriting the spirit of the original model while embracing a new vintage aesthetic, the Master Chronometer certified "Seamaster 300" has been born, boasting high precision, performance, and magnetic resistance. It is available in four models made of stainless steel and one model crafted from a new, patent-pending material called Bronze Gold, making a total of five variations.

Adopting the "Sandwich Concept" Dial Design

Since its debut in 1957 as a professional diver's watch, the "Seamaster 300" has been cherished worldwide. In 2021, this collection is reborn as Master Chronometer certified models, inheriting the spirit of the original while embracing a vintage aesthetic. Five new variations have been introduced: four in stainless steel and one in the new, patent-pending Bronze Gold material.

The new "Seamaster 300" features a "sandwich concept" dial, where a second dial with Super-LumiNova® is set beneath the main dial, enhancing its vintage appeal. It also incorporates the open-style Arabic numerals used in the 1960s models, further amplifying the vintage feel. By slimming the inner frame, the dial appears approximately 1mm larger, improving legibility. Additionally, the use of a new domed sapphire crystal results in a profile that is approximately 1mm thinner than before.

The ergonomically designed stainless steel bracelet tapers from the lugs to the clasp, offering a vintage touch and improved fit. Models are also available with leather straps, featuring stitching near the lugs as an antique accent. With elements like the popular lollipop seconds hand and a bezel ring made of aluminum with enhanced hardness through special treatment, the collection merges vintage aesthetics with cutting-edge technology, creating timepieces designed for enduring appeal across generations.

Particularly noteworthy is the model crafted from OMEGA's unique, softly hued alloy, Bronze Gold. This new material, composed of copper, 37.5 percent 9K gold, palladium, silver, and gallium, can be worn directly against the skin without developing verdigris due to oxidation. Simultaneously, its slow aging process allows for the enjoyment of the distinctive beauty that bronze develops over time. The dial of this model utilizes a special aging process on a common bronze alloy (CuSn8) to achieve a unique dark brown hue. The bezel ring, meanwhile, is made of highly durable brown ceramic, featuring a diving scale rendered in Vintage Super-LumiNova®.

All models are equipped with OMEGA's Co-Axial Master Chronometer Caliber, certified by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS) for industry-leading precision, performance, and magnetic resistance, and come with a five-year international warranty.
