The First Chronograph Model in the Seamaster Used by Bond
The 007 series, a cornerstone of spy action films, has long captured attention not only for its protagonist James Bond's fashion but also for the cars and gadgets that aid him in his missions. OMEGA was first featured in the films of the 90s. Beyond telling time, these watches have incorporated various gimmicks, saving Bond from peril.
Beyond the films, the stylish action and stories of James Bond are also depicted in video games. "007 First Light" is a third-person action-adventure game jointly developed by IO Interactive, known for the "Hitman" series, and Amazon MGM Studios.
The game centers on a 26-year-old James Bond, telling the original story of his recruitment into MI6. It was released worldwide simultaneously on May 27, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. A Nintendo Switch 2 version is scheduled for release this summer.
Within the game, the OMEGA Seamaster Diver 300M Chronograph appears as a gadget crucial for mission progression. Equipped with hacking functions to disrupt electronics and powerful laser gimmicks, it serves as an essential tool for players as they grow into the role of 007.

The "Seamaster Diver 300M Chronograph 007 First Light" announced this time is a faithful recreation of the watch featured in the game, brought into the real world.
A notable point of this model is that it is the first chronograph model in the history of the "Seamaster Diver 300M" used by James Bond. To ensure consistency with the in-game status display design, a chronograph specification with sub-dials was chosen.

The case is 44mm in diameter and made of stainless steel. The polished black ceramic bezel ring features a white enamel diving scale, and black pushers of the same material lend a sharp impression.
The dial is crafted from black ceramic, with the iconic wave pattern of dive watches meticulously laser-engraved. Furthermore, the sub-dial ring at 3 o'clock and the central chronograph seconds hand are finished in PVD bronze gold, adding a touch of depth and sophistication as a design accent.
The hands and indices are rhodium-finished and coated with white Super-LumiNova. The dial features the word "Seamaster" in red, and a date window at 6 o'clock ensures practicality is not overlooked.

The movement is the self-winding OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 9900. It features a small seconds at 9 o'clock and a 60-minute and 12-hour totalizer at 3 o'clock. This movement, which achieves OMEGA's highest standards of precision, performance, and magnetic resistance, is visible through the sapphire crystal case back, which is also adorned with a black metallization of the "007 FIRST LIGHT" logo. This detail allows the collaboration with the game to be appreciated even within the watch's mechanics.

To ensure usability in all situations, a NATO strap is included. This new design, also inspired by the game's world, features stripes in black, grey, and beige. While sharing a color scheme with the model used in the film "No Time to Die," it employs a different pattern.
The dedicated Seamaster buckle comes with a keeper engraved with "007" and "FIRST LIGHT." Additionally, six types of NATO straps featured in the game are planned for release as separate accessories.
The packaging is also a highlight. It comes in a special edition box designed to resemble the suitcase Bond carries his watch in within the game, making it a highly collectible item.
This is undoubtedly a timepiece that fans of both the game and watches cannot afford to miss. Its exquisite craftsmanship inspires the urge to keep it in a display case as a collector's item. However, this model embodies Bond's spirit of fearlessly diving into any harsh environment, whether underwater or in snowy mountains. It evokes a dual desire: to admire it, but also to wear it in daily life and let it fulfill its intended function on the wrist. Perhaps the role of this collaboration model is to awaken these conflicting desires simultaneously.

OMEGA also has deep ties to sports, serving as the official timekeeper for the 1932 Los Angeles Olympics and subsequently for 28 Olympic Games. For the latest film, "No Time to Die," Daniel Craig and the production team collaborated closely to create a watch whose design reflected Bond's experiences.
