A New Release from TAG Heuer, Continuously Evolving for Over 60 Years and Still Captivating Users

Swiss luxury watch brand TAG Heuer has released the "TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph" in April 2024. This new model merges the history and cutting-edge design accumulated over time within the "Carrera" series, an iconic watch that has been continuously updated since its debut in 1963.

A Panda Dial Enhances Legibility

Last year marked the 60th anniversary of the TAG Heuer Carrera, an iconic watch series from TAG Heuer, which debuted in 1963. To celebrate, a powerful new model was unveiled. This year, in April, a new iteration with an evolved design has been released.

While the TAG Heuer Carrera series has always pursued legibility in its design, the new "TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph" draws inspiration from the "7753SN" model of the late 1960s. It features a silver dial with black subdials finished in azurage at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions, creating a high-contrast "panda" look.

Vertical lines on the hour markers and the hour and minute hands further enhance legibility. The tip of the seconds hand and the hands of the subdials are finished with red lacquer, ensuring they are instantly recognizable.

The 39mm stainless steel case has been redesigned to seamlessly connect with the tachymeter positioned between the dial's periphery and the case, utilizing sapphire crystal reminiscent of the 1970s TAG Heuer Carrera series. The case back reveals the movement, the "TH 20-00," which features bidirectional winding, a new rotor shaped like a shield, and approximately 80 hours of power reserve.
