The Stainless Steel Bracelet Version of IWC's Iconic Portugieser Chronograph Expands Its Versatility

IWC Schaffhausen unveiled the first-ever stainless steel bracelet model for its iconic Portugieser Chronograph at Watches & Wonders in Shanghai on Wednesday, September 9, 2022. This new bracelet option further enhances the versatility of the elegant and sporty chronograph. The refined stainless steel bracelet, featuring a butterfly folding clasp, is available for all new Portugieser Chronograph models.

The IWC Portugieser Chronograph is characterized by its timeless, modern design, featuring a clear and open dial with two sub-dials at the 12 and 6 o'clock positions, and a scale for quarter-second increments.

The Highly Anticipated Bracelet Model of the Portugieser Chrono Has Arrived | IWC

This iconic model from IWC now comes with a versatile stainless steel bracelet version. The new bracelet is finished with polished and satin surfaces, meticulously detailed. Its ergonomic butterfly folding clasp ensures a secure and exceptionally comfortable fit on the wrist.

Christoph Grainger-Herr, CEO of IWC Schaffhausen, stated, "Stainless steel not only offers the durability and practicality suitable for everyday wear, but it is also highly resistant to corrosion, moisture, and sweat, and can even withstand occasional contact with saltwater. With the addition of the new bracelet option, the Portugieser Chronograph has become an extremely versatile watch, capable of accompanying its wearer on an even wider range of activities and adventures."

This new model features blue hands and applied indices on the dial. Inside the case, the IWC-manufactured Calibre 69355 movement beats, offering a power reserve of 46 hours. The sapphire glass case back provides a view of the traditional column-wheel chronograph movement.

The new stainless steel bracelet is available for all new Portugieser Chronograph models.
