IWC's Pilot's Watch "TOP GUN" line has been expanded with the addition of the white ceramic "Pilot's Watch Chronograph TOP GUN "Lake Tahoe"" and the dark green ceramic "Pilot's Watch Chronograph TOP GUN "Woodland"". These two new models will be produced in a limited edition of 1,000 units each per year.

The "TOP GUN" family of IWC Pilot's Watches was born in 2007. Its Chronograph was then characterized by a black zirconium oxide ceramic case and a titanium case back. Since then, advanced materials have become an icon of "TOP GUN", giving rise to a collection with a distinctive look achieved through high technology. In 2022, two new chronographs, the "Pilot's Watch Chronograph TOP GUN "Lake Tahoe"" and the "Pilot's Watch Chronograph TOP GUN "Woodland"", crafted from white and green ceramic respectively, were added to the collection.

The design of the "Pilot's Watch Chronograph TOP GUN "Lake Tahoe"" draws inspiration from the winter landscape of Lake Tahoe, near the U.S. Navy Fighter Weapons School TOP GUN's home base in Fallon, Nevada, and the white uniforms of the U.S. Navy. A distinctive embossed white rubber strap accentuates the captivating design.

The distinctive color of the "Pilot's Watch Chronograph TOP GUN "Woodland"" is inspired by the flight suits of naval aviators. The ceramic case and dial are in a newly developed Woodland Green, while the numerals and hour markers are printed in a lighter shade. The push-buttons and case back are made of matte black Ceratanium®. Developed by IWC, this material combines the lightness and structural integrity of titanium with the hardness and scratch resistance of ceramic. A green rubber strap with a fabric inlay completes the harmonious ensemble.

Both timepieces feature a soft-iron inner case that protects the movement from magnetic fields, ensuring robustness and high reliability. The crystal is specially secured to withstand sudden changes in air pressure, and the case back is engraved with the legendary TOP GUN logo.

Ceramic is the perfect material for watch cases: it is lighter and harder than steel, exceptionally scratch-resistant, and possesses a mirror-like surface with a smooth, comfortable feel. As a pioneer in high-tech materials, IWC has continuously expanded its range of ceramics over the years. The beautifully colored ceramics used in TOP GUN models are based on a combination of zirconium oxide and other metal oxides. "Through an unprecedented engineering process, we have developed two entirely new ceramic colors, "Lake Tahoe White" and "Woodland Green", and meticulously ensured that all other elements of the watch complement these new hues," says Christian Knoop, IWC's Chief Creative Officer.

The "Pilot's Watch Chronograph TOP GUN "Lake Tahoe"" and "Pilot's Watch Chronograph TOP GUN "Woodland"" are available now at IWC boutiques and the E-Boutique. Both models are eligible for the My IWC service program, offering an additional six years of extended warranty on top of the standard two-year international limited warranty.
