Two New Colors Join the Timex Q Lineup

EDITOR’S EYE
Early quartz “high-spec” divers are showing signs of becoming the next trend.
Divers with high water resistance are reassuring during the sweaty season.
So-called “cheap divers” can be worn without pretension.

Two new colors have been added to Timex's "TIMEX Q". They sold out in just one day after their release on Saturday, May 30, 2020. The watch remained out of stock for a while, but a restock is scheduled for Saturday, June 27.

Black x Green and Blue x Orange: Two Colors Not Found on the Original

Timex, founded in America in 1854. The "Timex Q" is a faithful reproduction of a 1979 model that marked the full-scale transition from mechanical to quartz movements. It was released in America in May 2019 and arrived in Japan in the fall of the same year.
Details such as the original's bi-colored red and blue anodized rotating bezel, the hatch-case back structure allowing users to change the battery themselves with a coin, the comfortably fitting woven stainless steel bracelet, and the placement of the letter "Q"—an initialism for quartz, the cutting-edge technology of the time—above the dial's brand logo have all been faithfully recreated.
Previously, only the blue and red bezel color, matching the original, was available. Now, black x green and blue x orange have been added.
The "Timex Q" was so popular upon its arrival in Japan in the fall of 2019 that it required a lottery sale. The two new color models are also generating significant buzz.
