American watch brand TIMEX and outdoor brand CHUMS have announced their first collaboration in approximately 10 years. The watch and pouch set will be released in limited quantities on February 21, 2025 (Friday).

This collaboration is based on TIMEX's classic "WEEKENDER" model, enhanced with CHUMS' signature outdoor design. The WEEKENDER, first released in the Fall/Winter 2011 season, became a bestseller, selling over 500,000 units in Japan alone within five years. It's also known for spearheading the trend of ribbon straps (pass-through type).

The concept behind the collaboration model is "Back To The 80s." The dial features old logos used by CHUMS and TIMEX in the 1980s, giving it a retro yet sophisticated feel. The case is crafted from classic matte black brass, with an ivory dial color, contributing to its heritage-inspired look.

The product name was born from a blend of CHUMS' catchphrase "HANG WITH YOUR CHUMS!" and TIMEX's masterpiece "WEEKENDER."

The hands are also thoughtfully designed, with the hour hand in TIMEX's black and the minute hand in CHUMS' red. They are luminescent, ensuring visibility even in nighttime outdoor settings. This model is perfect for camping and other outdoor activities.

The case back is made of stainless steel, engraved with both CHUMS and TIMEX logos. Pressing the crown activates the Indiglo light, illuminating the entire dial. Furthermore, a special feature reveals the silhouette of the current Booby Bird logo within the light. This specification is a unique detail exclusive to this collaboration model.

Also included is a limited-edition watch pouch designed with inspiration from the "Hurricane Walkers" sweat shorts, which debuted in the 1980s. Hurricane Walkers have been a long-selling item since 1989, popular across generations for their comfortable loopback terry material.

The pouch features an adjuster inspired by CHUMS' signature retainer material, with a special design printed with both CHUMS and TIMEX logos.

In addition to a simple black strap, a custom Gray/White striped replacement strap matching the special pouch's adjuster is included. Made of nylon and designed as a pass-through type, it can be easily swapped out to suit any situation or mood.

This model is the result of a collaboration between two historic brands originating in the United States. Its vintage finish evokes a more relaxed era before the widespread adoption of computers and digital devices. It's a timepiece that can serve as a companion for digital detoxing in the great outdoors.
