TIMEX's popular "Q TIMEX" series introduces the colorful new "MARIBU" collection, inspired by the enchanting beaches of Malibu. Pre-orders begin Wednesday, July 21, 2021, with sales commencing Wednesday, July 28, at four department stores, including Isetan Shinjuku.

Metal Expansion Band Adjusts for a Perfect Fit Without Tools

The "Q TIMEX," a faithful reproduction of a model first released in the U.S. in 1979. Born during the transition from mechanical to battery-powered (quartz) movements, this model featured a hatch-case back that allowed users to change the battery themselves using a coin. It was named "Q" after the cutting-edge quartz movement technology of the time and achieved great popularity.

The new "Malibu" collection draws inspiration from the beautiful Malibu beaches of California, a favorite among celebrities, and comes in two variations.

The rose gold-toned "TW2U81500" combines pink, reminiscent of a sunset, with aqua blue, evoking the ocean surface. The yellow gold-bezeled "TW2U81600" features a sunset-inspired orange and a vivid pink bezel that makes the black dial stand out.

Both models feature the "Q TIMEX" signature two-tone bezel, rendered in charming colors, with careful attention paid to the second hand's hue. The expandable metal expansion band offers a comfortable fit, now with a new feature allowing for easy size adjustment without tools.
