Maker's Watch Knot Opens First Gallery Shop in Kichijoji
Imagine choosing a wristwatch like you would a shirt or tie – as a piece of “wristwear” to suit your lifestyle or mood of the day.—It was with this sentiment that Maker's Watch Knot, a Japanese watch brand, was newly established in 2014. On March 4th, celebrating its first anniversary, the brand opened its flagship gallery shop in Kichijoji, Tokyo.

Custom Wristwear to Coordinate with Your Fashion
Maker's Watch Knot offers custom-order, Made-in-Japan watches of superior design and quality, allowing you to personalize them according to your lifestyle and trends.
The brand has now opened its first gallery shop in the area behind Tokyu Department Store in Kichijoji. The interior, unified in calm grey tones, features a wide array of products displayed on dedicated stands, alongside tablets where customers can explore over 1,000 possible combinations.
True to its name, which signifies “to tie” or “bond,” Knot’s watches are built on the concept of providing users worldwide with “superior design wristwatches at Japanese quality and real prices.”
While offering the enjoyment of styling through interchangeable faces and straps, this custom-order watch brand achieves reasonable pricing by eliminating intermediaries.
Inheriting the philosophy of Japanese craftsmanship and meticulously selecting materials, Knot’s watches feature sapphire crystal—second only to diamond in hardness—for the watch face cover.
The cases are made from high-purity stainless steel 316L, often used in medical applications. Furthermore, all 30-plus strap types come standard with an Easy Lever, allowing them to be attached to any watch case without the need for tools.
Additionally, the straps actively incorporate Japanese traditional techniques and materials, such as Tochigi Leather, tanned using 100% natural vegetable tanning, and Kyoto’s traditional Kumihimo braiding, showcasing the appeal of Made-in-Japan to the world.
For those who typically check the time on their smartphones, why not visit the gallery shop and experience the joy of customizing your own unique wristwear to match your mood and fashion for the day?
