Unveiled in 2008 from the iconic "Dior Christal" collection, the tourbillon captured widespread attention. This year, as a new release for 2009, it arrives with fresh color variations.

Dior's tourbillon is a timepiece that adorns even the movement itself, featuring sapphire crystal and baguette-cut diamonds set onto the tourbillon bridges, the very face of the collection. While last year's model was available only in black, this year sees the addition of ruby embellishments to express a vibrant red.

Retaining the invisible-set diamonds on the bridges, the bezel and bracelet are lavishly adorned with baguette-cut rubies. These rubies were meticulously sourced over many years to perfectly match the sapphire crystal, showcasing Dior's dedication as a jeweler in every detail of this model.

Meanwhile, a completely new creation makes its debut: Dior's first mystery watch. This new addition to the "Dior Christal" line conceals the movement within the bezel, displaying the hours and minutes through three rotating discs among six on the dial.

The desire to create a "mystery watch" stems from the company's long-standing commitment to "luxury watches." Developed over seven years from conception, it involved three Swiss watchmakers and three engineers from the automotive and electronics industries. The mother-of-pearl dial features geometric patterns inspired by Art Deco and Op Art. Displaying a unique configuration only once a month, this timepiece is sure to delight the wearer's playful spirit.
