The 2020 "TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre Heuer 02 Chronograph" Celebrates the Brand's 160th Anniversary

To commemorate its 160th anniversary, TAG Heuer has unveiled the 2020 collection, the "TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre Heuer 02 Chronograph." The lineup features two models with a refined steel bracelet paired with black opaline and blue sunray dials, and two models with an elegant brown alligator leather strap matched with anthracite grey and silver sunray dials, totaling four distinct variations.

Inspired by the Original Racing Chronograph

Since its debut in 1963, TAG Heuer has continuously evolved the design and construction of the "Carrera." Now, in 2020, marking the brand's 160th anniversary, these innovations have once again transcended time with the release of the new "TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre Heuer 02 Chronograph."

Four iconic chronographs are presented, blending historical inspiration with a modern aesthetic.

Four New Models Inspired by the Original Carrera Debut | TAG Heuer

Details such as the applied indices, positioned to follow the angle of the flange, draw inspiration from motorsports and various other fields. The smooth stainless steel bezel adds a refined touch to the design, echoing the comprehensive beauty of the original Heuer Carrera's silver dial launched in 1963.

This captivating 42mm timepiece retains the chronograph functions with two push-buttons and sub-dials. The dial features azurage-finished sub-dials at 3 and 9 o'clock, with a date window and a small seconds counter positioned above the 6 o'clock sub-dial.

The screw-down sapphire case back offers a view of the innovative and captivating in-house "Calibre Heuer 02" movement. Comprising 168 components, including a column wheel and vertical clutch, it boasts a power reserve of approximately 80 hours.

Born on the racetrack, the "TAG Heuer Carrera" is not merely a tribute to history; it is a luxurious timepiece that fuses sophisticated design with advanced watchmaking expertise.
