A Subtle Elegance Born from Soft Color Gradients

Franck Muller's iconic "Long Island" watch showcases its signature case design, blending the Novecento style of the 1920s with Art Deco elements. This year, a new iteration has been unveiled: the "Long Island Color Dreams Gradient," distinguished by its artful use of color on the indices.

While retaining the case's traditional robustness and the dial's delicate sunray brush finish, this timepiece pursues a new kind of grace, distinct from its previous overt character. This is achieved through the gradient coloring applied to the Byzantine numeral indices. Last year, this watch featured vivid multi-colored indices; this year, the gently shifting hues imbue its bold aesthetic with a subtle, understated elegance.

From the index at 1 o'clock, moving towards 12 o'clock, the color transitions gradually from white to pastel, and then to purple. This gradient, reminiscent of cool earth slowly warming with gentle heat, culminates in a deep, rich hue at the 12 o'clock position, ensuring the warmth and elegance are never compromised.

The men's model features an enigmatic purple gradient, while the ladies' model showcases a gentle pink gradient. However, these new gradient Long Island models are offered in only one gradient color each for men and women. The approach of expanding from a single color to a spectrum, rather than using multiple colors, reflects Franck Muller's philosophy of meticulously developing watch details.

This watch, with its beautiful gradient colors, will arrive in Japan this November. Why not experience this masterpiece, embodying a paradoxical blend of gentleness and boldness?
