"The Moon" (Distributor: Asmik Ace Entertainment) is a film told through the raw testimonies of astronauts who traveled to the moon and newly unearthed, vividly restored footage from NASA.

At this special screening of the acclaimed film, which has won numerous awards including at the Sundance Film Festival, robot designer Tatsuya Matsui will be the special guest. A talk event will also be held, exploring the impact of the shocking historical events of 40 years ago on Mr. Matsui, the evolution of design, and the messages it conveys to the present day.

Tatsuya Matsui
Representative Director, Flower Robotics Inc.
Robot Designer
Born in Tokyo in 1969. After graduating from Nihon University College of Art, he moved to France after working at Kenzo Tange Associates. After working as a researcher for the Japan Science and Technology Agency, he established Flower Robotics Inc. in 2001. He received the Good Design Award in 2000 for the humanoid robots "SIG" and "PINO." He focuses on research and development of robots such as "Posy" and "Palette."
The new airline Starflyer, for which he provided total design, received the Good Design Award in 2006 and was selected as one of the "100 New Japanese Styles" in 2007. Recent works include the store design for DUNHILL Ginza flagship store. His works have been exhibited at numerous venues, including the Venice Biennale and the Museum of Modern Art, New York. From November 2007 to January 2008, the exhibition "Tatsuya Matsui Exhibition: Flower Robotics" was held at the Art Tower Mito.
He has been an adjunct lecturer at the School of Science and Engineering, Waseda University, since 2002. He has been a judge for the Good Design Award of the Japan Institute of Design Promotion since 2007.
