The image that comes to mind when thinking of the Year of the Tiger, the zodiac animal of 2022, is the wild king – fierce, confident, and full of adventurous spirit. These qualities also align with TAG HEUER's signature Carrera collection. This limited edition is a fitting testament to its illustrious history.

Blue x Gold: A Celebration of the Year of the Tiger. A Limited Edition Carrera for 2022

In 1963, Jack Heuer launched the Carrera collection, named in homage to the legendary and notoriously perilous "Carrera Panamericana Mexico" automobile race. The race, which began in 1950, was so dangerous that only the most experienced drivers were permitted to compete.

Now, in 2022, TAG HEUER releases the limited edition "TAG HEUER Carrera Year of the Tiger Limited Edition." This timepiece is a masterful blend of sporty and traditional design, befitting the Year of the Tiger. Its refined dial features subtle, water-like stripes in light and dark blue, evoking the tiger's dynamism and coat. The light blue stripes are finished with a brushed effect and blue PVD coating, while the dark blue stripes possess a rich, painted texture.

Furthermore, 18K rose gold is used for the indices, the three hands (hour, minute, and second), the calendar window, the TAG HEUER logo at 12 o'clock, and the crown, reminiscent of the tiger's fur. The elegant calfskin strap is also meticulously detailed with two gold-colored stitches.

The sapphire crystal case back reveals a decoration of a blue tiger poised to pounce, allowing a view of the watch's movement. This is a limited edition of 300 pieces, each with a serial number engraved on the case back. It comes presented in a lacquered box featuring the same blue tiger stripes as the dial.
