The Common Ground Between IWC and F1

Manufacture IWC, which began its history in 1868 in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, a town on the border with Germany. Its long and distinguished history in robust, high-quality craftsmanship and precision mechanical technology shares significant common ground with Germany's leading automobile manufacturer,Mercedes-Benzwhich is a significant point of commonality.

Notably, a partnership was established with AMG, Mercedes-Benz's performance brand, in 2004. Furthermore, in January of this year, a collaboration was realized as the official technical partner for the F1 team 'Mercedes AMG Petronas'.



And now, for the first time as racing drivers, Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg have been appointed as ambassadors for IWC, a brand whose roster includes globally renowned celebrities. IWC CEO Georges Kern commented on the reason: "Hamilton and Rosberg's pursuit of perfection is akin to that of IWC's designers, engineers, and watchmakers."

Hamilton, known as an avid watch enthusiast, stated, "IWC watches possess a unique charm, high performance, and occupy a top position in the watchmaking field, sharing many commonalities with F1 drivers." Rosberg, who received an IWC watch as his first timepiece from his father and became captivated by the brand, expressed his joy, saying, "Becoming an ambassador feels like reuniting with an old friend."

Hamilton and Rosberg continue to compete fiercely on the world's highest stage, steadily accumulating points this season.
