OMEGA has released the "Seamaster Diver 300M Master Chronometer Titanium Tantalum Limited Edition," limited to 2,500 pieces worldwide, crafted from the same material as the first Seamaster Diver 300M.

Tantalum: A Rare Metal with a Lustrous Blue-Gray Hue

The iconic "Seamaster Diver 300M," which celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2018, has been reborn with a transformation in both appearance and functionality.

The original "Seamaster Diver 300M," launched in 1993, featured a unique metal called tantalum. Tantalum is a material primarily used in electronic and medical devices. It's a lustrous blue-gray metal, rarer than gold and harder than steel, with excellent corrosion resistance.

However, due to its difficult handling, it was rarely used in the watch industry thereafter. Yet, its distinctive color and innovative design were key factors in the popularity of the original "Seamaster Diver 300M."

Introducing the "Seamaster Diver 300M Master Chronometer Titanium Tantalum Limited Edition," which once again utilizes this legendary material. The case and bracelet are made of brushed Grade 2 Titanium. Blue-gray tantalum is used for the bezel base and the bracelet's middle links, creating a subtle color contrast.

Furthermore, 18K Sedna gold is also incorporated. It accents the crown, bezel ring, and conical helium escape valve, while a plate of the same Sedna gold, engraved with the limited edition number, adorns the case side.

The gray titanium dial, adorned with a wave pattern, features laser engraving that raises the waves. This characteristic, mirroring the original model, is presented in a special box inspired by the case back design.
