All Black, the First Japanese Model Engraved with the Boutique's Name

Breitling Boutique Osaka, the second flagship store in Japan, opened in the Shinsaibashi area of Osaka in 2008. The limited edition model announced to commemorate the 10th anniversary of this boutique, which has continued to convey the charm of Breitling to the Kansai region, is the "Superocean Heritage II B20 Automatic 44 Blacksteel Breitling Boutique Osaka Limited Edition."

Among Breitling Boutiques in Japan, the 2018 new model "Superocean Heritage II B20 Automatic 44" was chosen as the base for this limited edition model, which is the first of its kind to be produced.

The "Superocean" was first released in 1957 for professional divers and quickly became popular among diving enthusiasts. The "Superocean Heritage" collection was born as an homage to this model, incorporating its original features while fusing them with cutting-edge technology.

When the design was renewed for its 60th anniversary in 2017, a bezel made of ultra-hard high-tech ceramic was adopted for the first time. Ceramic, with its high corrosion and scratch resistance, and resistance to fading, is a tough material that withstands the demanding use of professionals, highlighting the robustness of the Superocean.

The "B20" in the model name refers to Breitling's in-house manufactured Caliber B20. The "44" indicates a case diameter of 44mm. This size was newly added in 2018.

And "Blacksteel" refers to the special black DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) processed steel created specifically for this model. Unlike the regular models, this one features a matte finish on the ceramic bezel to match the case. It is further paired with a black rubber strap, and the push-button buckle also features black DLC processing.

While everything is unified in black, the only element with color is the second hand. Its vibrant blue hue symbolizes the ocean, evoking Breitling's close relationship with the sea, which has spanned over 60 years. Luminous paint is applied to the hands, ensuring full diver's watch specifications.

One more point worth noting is the inscription on the case back: "LIMITED EDITION BOUTIQUE OSAKA."

This is the first time a model with the boutique's name engraved on it has been produced in Japan, making it an epoch-making model in Breitling's history.

Breitling has always offered a lineup of attractive limited edition models that deeply appeal to fans, and this time as well, they have created a model distinct from the regular lineup.
