A BATHING APE® x Bell & Ross Capsule Collection

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of A BATHING APE®, a contemporary luxury fashion brand, two collaboration watches with the French luxury watch brand Bell & Ross were released on Saturday, November 10, 2018, at BAPEXCLUSIVE™ Aoyama.

A BATHING APE® x Bell & Ross Limited Models Crafted with a Focus on Legibility

The "BAPE XXV" project was launched to commemorate the 25th anniversary of A BATHING APE®. This project involved 25 partners, including Bell & Ross, who released special items to celebrate the milestone.

The collaboration between Bell & Ross and A BATHING APE® was born from shared values: both brands create functional products with distinct personalities and draw inspiration from military styles.

Bell & Ross, known for its professional aviation watches, has adopted the brand's signature square case for this capsule collection. The two models, with a 42mm case diameter, feature a matte black ceramic case inspired by aircraft dashboard instruments, combined with highly legible hands and typography for the numerals. Similarly, the dial employs a structure inspired by military techniques that prioritize legibility. Composed of two plates, the upper plate has the numerals and indices cut out, allowing the luminous paint applied to the lower plate to clearly emerge from the gaps, ensuring legibility day and night.

The "BR 03-92 25TH ANNIVERSARY," commemorating the 25th anniversary of A BATHING APE®, features the brand's iconic "APE HEAD" logo at 6 o'clock on a black dial, along with highly luminous green numerals. It comes with a leather strap in APE®'s original camouflage pattern, BAPE® CAMO BLACK, as well as a black rubber strap with an engraved APE HEAD logo finished with hand-applied lacquer. The watch is presented in a water-resistant PELICAN® box and is limited to 25 pieces worldwide.

The "BR 03-92 GREEN CAMO" model, limited to 100 pieces worldwide, features APE® CAMO's original green pattern printed on the dial of Bell & Ross's signature series. The military tones are complemented by a striking contrast of white numerals and indices, along with the BAPE® logo.

Both models are exclusively sold at BAPEXCLUSIVE™ Aoyama. Information regarding these rare pieces is regularly shared on social media platforms like Instagram using the hashtags #BRxBAPE and #BAPEXXV.
