Bell & Ross, known for its professional instrument watches inspired by aviation tools, has released the new "BR 03-94 MULTIMETER" in a limited edition of 500 pieces. This chronograph is equipped with a pulsometer, asthmometer, and chronograph functions, with a vibrant yet practical dial that immediately catches the eye.

The "BR 03-94 MULTIMETER" represents both the high potential of the complex chronograph mechanism and Bell & Ross's entry into the sports world. Developed for all athletes involved in racing, this model is designed to provide as much information as possible regarding physical activity.

The name "MULTIMETER" evokes the measuring instruments used in various sports competitions. The dial is equipped with a large, independent hand in the center that can be started, stopped, and reset, and the chronograph also allows for speed measurement using the tachymeter.

Historically, chronograph functions have been utilized in various ways: in aviation, pilots use them for flight planning; in the navy, they are used to calculate a ship's position during navigation; in medicine, models were specifically developed to accurately measure pulse rates; and in motorsports, they are used to measure the speed of racing cars. Thus, chronograph functions have been applied to a wide range of measurements.

The "BR 03-94 MULTIMETER" is characterized by having all its functions integrated onto the dial. This unique model can measure not only speed but also respiration and pulse rates. It can be considered a versatile "Swiss Army knife" for athletes.

Inspired by aircraft cockpits, this model adheres to the iconic "circle within a square" design that symbolizes cockpit clocks, serving as the design reference for this highly graphical case. The 42mm diameter case is ideal for everyday wear, and the multi-colored dial captures attention.

All measured information is displayed cohesively on the dial. The chronograph display is completed by two subdials added to the dial, with a 30-minute counter at 9 o'clock and small seconds at 3 o'clock. To maintain optimal legibility, watchmakers selected hands twice the usual weight, a measure that compensates for the absence of applied indices. The central two hands indicate hours and minutes, and the date is shown in a window. The 60-minute scale for the chronograph is arranged on the dial flange as usual.

Externally, the unique, vibrant, and graphical chronograph is a pleasure to behold, with the matte black ceramic case contrasting beautifully with the colorful dial. On the dial, to maintain legibility and functionality, specific colors are assigned to different categories of information, referencing the principles of color coding for various instruments displayed on aircraft dashboards. The pulsometer scale, measured only on the right side of the dial, is orange; the asthmometer scale is dark green; and the three tachymeter scales are available in pale green, light gray, and white. To improve visibility, the date, usually placed between 4 and 5 o'clock, has been moved between 12 and 1 o'clock to avoid obstructing the indicators.

Although operating this watch may seem complex, the small user manual located on the left side of the dial facilitates easy understanding of its functions, utilizing five onboard scales. These follow three basic data points: "BASE" for the base unit showing usage and measurement methods, "FUNCTION" for color scales and functions, and "UNIT" for measurement units. The pulsometer, measuring pulse rate, displays 15 beats per minute; the asthmometer, monitoring respiration, displays 5 breaths per minute. Furthermore, the three tachymeters measure speed in km/h. The measurement bases differ, with three distinct units: 100m, 250m, and 1km. The first corresponds to joggers (running), the second to cyclists (bicycles), and the third to drivers (sports cars).
