Choker styles and necklaces that can be worn like scarves

It has been 120 years since MIKIMOTO founder Kokichi Mikimoto invented cultured pearls in 1893. As a pioneer in pearls, MIKIMOTO is now proposing a diverse collection of 120th-anniversary pearl jewelry, born from the wish "to have women enjoy pearl necklaces in their daily lives." This collection highlights the allure of pearls, traditionally reserved for formal wear, allowing them to be enjoyed in a multitude of settings—elegantly, casually, and with a cool sophistication.

The necklace styles are varied. One design features pearls on a choker type, with an additional chain, ingeniously designed to allow for adjustable length depending on the outfit. A long necklace, suitable for occasions ranging from casual to formal, boasts a charming design where the clasp forms a ribbon shape. This allows for enjoyment in various ways: a simple single strand, an elegant double strand, or using the clasp as a focal point.

Additionally, two long pearl necklaces with randomly placed small and large pearls, and a supple necklace where delicate baby pearls are strung together like lace, allowing it to be worn like a tie or scarf, are perfect for discerning adult women. They invite creative styling and seem well-suited for a masculine look as well.

The "MIKIMOTO Pearl Necklace 1923" is also unveiled

Furthermore, MIKIMOTO has announced the "MIKIMOTO Pearl Necklace 1923." This new piece draws inspiration from a single strand of cultured pearls that first appeared in 1923, as featured in "Pearl," a product catalog published by MIKIMOTO across the Meiji, Taisho, and Showa eras, encompassing a wide range of perspectives on accessories, history, and culture. This elegant necklace, with pearls arranged in a gradient on a beautifully engraved clasp, captivates us today with its timeless beauty.
