A Combination of "Universality" and "Flexibility"
RADO, which has continued its innovative challenges in both materials and design for 50 years, including the world's first scratch-resistant watch launched in 1962, began a new challenge in 2012 to create a vision for the future of watches.
The theme is "universality" and "flexibility." Through this combination, a boutique embodying RADO's vision for the future of watches has been created.
Even in today's increasingly digital and virtual world, watches possess a "universal" beauty, existing as if they become a part of the wearer at that very moment. Meanwhile, "flexibility" signifies a presence that is not bound by conventional notions of watches, offering a flexible and forward-looking image.
World-renowned architect Kengo Kuma has expressed this philosophy in the form of a "Mobile Boutique," a future watch store. It combines the universality of being able to feel "time" anytime, anywhere, with the flexibility of being mobile and unrestricted in its placement.
This new boutique, with its unprecedented concept and form, invites us to step into RADO's vision for the future of watches.
