A Limited Timepiece with Love-Themed Motifs Adorning Every Detail

Blancpain has released a new timepiece to commemorate Valentine's Day, a celebration of love and romance. The new "Women Ultraplate" features a mother-of-pearl dial where 19 brilliant-cut diamonds and 4 rubies are fixed and sparkling using the "star setting" technique. The bezel is adorned with 48 diamonds, the lugs with 20 diamonds, and the crown is set with a prominent rose-cut diamond.

A distinctive feature is the elegant sapphire moon phase, tilted at the 6 o'clock position. The opening, framed by a delicate border, has a softly rounded shape, lending a sophisticated impression. The moon on this feminine moon phase face features a "beauty mark" on its smiling lips, a humorous touch inspired by 18th-century European courtly culture.

The moon phase, revived by Blancpain in the early 1980s and since then a topic of conversation, is widely known as a signature complication of the Blancpain manufacture. The way the moon's face moves in correspondence with the lunar cycle is a testament to human ingenuity, capturing natural phenomena on the dial. Through the sapphire case back, one can admire the rhodium-plated yellow gold rotor, decorated with countless sun rays and a heart pierced by Cupid's arrow. The "Women Ultraplate," complete with a vibrant red alligator strap, is a worldwide limited edition of 99 pieces, each engraved with a serial number.
