Polished Finish Adds a Touch of Elegance

In 1953, Blancpain introduced the "Fifty Fathoms" as the world's first professional modern dive watch. Developed to meet the needs of professional divers and military special forces of the era, this model laid the foundation for dive watches with its high water resistance, unidirectional rotating bezel, luminous indices, automatic movement, and magnetic resistance.
The new release pays homage to the legendary original model while being reinterpreted with modern technology and aesthetics. Following the 70th-anniversary "Act 1" model introduced in 2023 and the subsequent titanium and red gold versions, this timepiece brings new allure to Blancpain's 2025 collection.
The case is made of polished stainless steel, exuding a lustrous sheen that captures light from every angle. A black dial with a sunburst finish and a unidirectional rotating bezel with a domed sapphire insert enhance the overall harmony of the watch. Luminous indices on the dial ensure excellent legibility even in low light, underscoring its practicality as a dive watch.
Two bracelet options are available: a perfectly finished stainless steel bracelet or a tropic rubber strap. The latter comes with either a pin buckle or a deployment buckle, offering versatility to suit different styles and occasions.
The movement is the high-performance automatic caliber 1315, introduced in 2007. By combining three series-coupled mainspring barrels, it achieves an impressive power reserve of five days (approximately 120 hours). The use of a silicon balance spring also ensures excellent magnetic resistance and stable accuracy.
The case back is sapphire crystal, revealing a NAC-treated 18K red gold rotor. This design element, reminiscent of the original 1953 model, is not merely decorative but also a symbol of respect for tradition.
This piece is both an homage to an iconic past masterpiece and a genuine tool watch that meets the expectations of modern watch enthusiasts and professional divers. The fact that it is offered as a regular, non-limited model is also welcome news. Blancpain's technical prowess and aesthetic sensibility, cultivated over many years, are condensed into this single timepiece.
