Blancpain introduces a new Air Command Flyback Chronograph. This unique and adventurous watch features camouflage green for the first time.

In the 1950s, Blancpain released a chronograph as a pilot's watch, highly regarded for its excellent chronometer functions even today. The Air Command draws its inspiration from these 1950s timepieces. First released as a limited edition in 2019, it captivated with its vintage aesthetic and modern robustness.

This new model makes a striking impression with its unprecedented camouflage green base, accentuating Blancpain's aesthetic. The case, like the previous model, is crafted from Grade 23 titanium, with a combination of satin and polished finishes lending it a sporty appearance.

True to its pilot's watch heritage, it features a rotating "countdown" bezel paired with a flyback chronograph. Additionally, it includes a tachymeter scale for measuring speed in kilometers, showcasing its practicality at a glance.

The box-type sapphire crystal glass further enhances the vintage feel. The hands and numerals visible through it are coated with Super-LumiNova, harmonizing in color with the stitching on the leather strap.

The movement housed within the case is the automatic Calibre F188B. It features a flyback function, allowing the timer to be reset and a new one started with a single operation. While typical chronographs require multiple button presses, this highlights the unique functionality of a pilot's watch. The case back reveals an 18K gold rotor, designed to resemble an airplane propeller, underscoring Blancpain's connection to aviation.

Two sizes are available: 36.2mm and 42.5mm, released in limited quantities of 100 and 200 pieces, respectively. Available exclusively at Blancpain boutiques, they can also be acquired as a matching duo watch set with synchronized serial numbers, offering an elegant option for couples.

The new Air Command is a timepiece that pays a modern homage to aviation history while showcasing Blancpain's exceptional watchmaking prowess.
