A Gathering of Rare Models, Including the Latest Creations
This year marks 25 years since watchmaker Franck Muller, hailed as a "genius" in the watchmaking world, founded the watch brand "Franck Muller" with co-founder Vartan Cilimkès. For a quarter of a century, Franck Muller's timepieces, imbued with his philosophy and at times, fantasy, have adorned the wrists of many.
Since 2000, he has led the formation of the Watchland Group, which now encompasses a total of nine brands, with his own brand at the forefront.
This anniversary year, celebrating 25 years since the birth of the Franck Muller brand, sees the fifth "WPHH JAPON" exhibition held in Japan. "WPHH JAPON" is the Japanese iteration of "WPHH (THE WORLD PRESENTATION OF HAUTE HORLOGERIE)," held annually in Geneva in January. It is characterized by its incorporation of Japanese hospitality, including cuisine and floral arrangements, offering a distinct flavor compared to its Swiss counterpart.
The venue is THE SODOH HIGASHIYAMA, a building constructed in 1929 by Takeuchi Seihō, a master of Japanese painting, as his atelier and private residence in his later years. Originally named "Tōzan Sōdō" during its construction, it was cherished as a salon where prominent figures from various fields gathered, alongside masterpieces incorporating many elements of Western art.
Within the venue, adorned with Franck Muller's iconic Breguet numerals, guests can experience the essence of Mr. Muller's watchmaking. Additionally, a collection of rare models, including the latest creations, will be showcased, featuring jewelry watches crafted by Bucherer & Strauss, a diamond maison based in London and a member of the Watchland Group.
