A Watch Crafted with a Century-Long Conviction
MIDO was founded in Switzerland by Georges Schaeren in 1918. Guided by the belief that "Beyond Time, it is the proof of true design," the brand strives to blend understated beauty, reliability, and functionality, creating timeless products that transcend fleeting trends. Today, it is part of the Swatch Group, a global watch manufacturer.
The new "Multifort Escape" from MIDO, released in 2017, is a masterpiece that looks to the past to inform the future, drawing inspiration from the 1940s designs of the brand's iconic "Multifort" series. It is available in three color variations: black, khaki, and dark blue.
The case measures 44mm, the largest diameter among MIDO's three-hand models. The black dial, accented with Geneva stripes and orange details, conveys a masculine, sporty style. The stainless steel case, finished with a vintage-style black PVD coating achieved through sandblasting, is the watch's most distinctive feature. It is powered by the automatic "Caliber 80" movement, which offers high precision and an impressive 80-hour power reserve.
