Tokyo Theme: 'Motor Racing & Timeless Design'
Founded in 1860, TAG Heuer has been producing timepieces for over 150 years. In a first-time initiative, the 'Heuer Vintage: A Journey Through Time' exhibition is being held simultaneously in 10 cities worldwide, including Paris, Geneva, and Munich. Each city will have its own theme, with unique vintage watches that have graced history traveling from the TAG Heuer Museum at its headquarters in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland.
In Tokyo's Omotesando, over 50 items will be on display, themed 'Motor Racing & Timeless Design,' featuring pieces from the TAG Heuer Museum and those owned by Heuer collectors residing in Tokyo.
Among the highlights is the 'Time of Trip,' the world's first dashboard chronograph for automobiles and aircraft, unveiled in 1911, which will be exhibited in Japan for the first time. Also featured will be rare timepieces such as the 'Micronograph,' patented in 1916 as the world's first stopwatch to measure 1/100th of a second. Historical pieces from popular collections like the 'Carrera,' 'Autavia,' and 'Monaco' from the 1960s will also be showcased.

The exhibition will also feature the "S/el" favored by brand ambassador Ayrton Senna, and the "Monaco" worn by Steve McQueen in the 1971 film 'Le Mans.' Watches and collections related to motor racing, such as the 'Temporada,' 'Montreal,' 'Monza,' and 'Silverstone,' will also be presented.
TAG Heuer's timepieces have a deep connection with motorsports, a sport where every second counts. These historical timepieces convey the enduring brilliance of their respective eras.
