The Classic "Marine" Becomes Thinner and Lighter
In the 19th century, when many explorers set sail, a pocket watch called the "Torpilleur" was exclusively permitted for captains.
Alongside high-precision deck chronometers, which were unaffected by the ship's motion, portable pocket watches were highly popular among naval officers and ship captains worldwide.
The new "Marine Torpilleur" is the "symbol" of the Marine collection, blending the brand's illustrious maritime history, technical performance, and exquisite design.
It is powered by the in-house UN-118 caliber movement, featuring a 60-hour power reserve and a silicon anchor escapement. Its design is lighter and thinner than that of the popular "Marine Chronometer" collection.
The dial incorporates traditional details found in vintage pocket watches, such as Roman numerals and the "1846" inscription, while the hands are a new design created specifically for this "Marine Torpilleur."
The "Marine Torpilleur," with its contemporary and urban aesthetic, joins the esteemed Marine collection. It is the perfect timepiece for the modern captain who steers their own life's course.
