A Dual Exhibition of the Swiss Watchmaker's Legacy and Emerging Artistic Talent

Emerging in Switzerland in 1992, Franck Muller quickly ascended to become a leading global brand in luxury mechanical watches. With his exceptional technical prowess, he has been hailed as a successor to Breguet, the watchmaker said to have "advanced watchmaking history by 200 years." To this day, he continues to unveil new timepieces almost every year. Beyond technical mastery, his watches, imbued with a unique "philosophy of time," serve as a gentle reminder of the "preciousness of time" that we so easily overlook, elevating them to the realm of art.

To mark the brand's 20th anniversary, Franck Muller will host an event at Omotesando Hills starting July 16 (Saturday).

The event will feature an exhibition of works by young Japanese artists who were selected through the art competition "Seeking Genius Creators. ART GRAND PRIX." This competition invited submissions across various genres, including photography, video, Flash movies, animation, design, apps, and sculpture, all centered around the theme of "philosophy of time." The opening event on the evening of July 15 (Friday) will be attended by Franck Muller himself, who will present awards. A talk show will also be held with screenwriter Kundo Koyama and photographer Yoshihiko Ueda.

Throughout the event, the grand staircase at Omotesando Hills will be transformed into a fantastical space with a "time-telling performance" of light and sound every hour on the hour, immersing visitors in the "time" that Franck Muller has meticulously crafted.
