LIGHT in BLACK is Finally Here

Every year on June 10th, the anniversary of "Tanabata" (Star Festival), CITIZEN releases a limited collection themed around "light and time.""LIGHT in BLACK"is now available. Five models, adorned in black and gold, feature CITIZEN's proprietary Eco-Drive technology. The full scope of this new collection, inspired by light breaking through the darkness, is finally revealed.

A Striking Contrast of Black and Gold

On June 10, 2015, CITIZEN's limited collection themed "light and time" will finally be delivered. The theme is "LIGHT in BLACK." Light emanating from darkness is expressed through a black body and gold accents, with special models born from five of CITIZEN's signature series. These special models are equipped with CITIZEN's proprietary "Eco-Drive," which boasts a history of approximately 40 years.

This time, we delve into the full scope of these newly revealed timepieces.

Timepiece Designs Expressing Concepts of Time

The Eco-Drive Satellite Wave, which receives radio waves carrying time data from satellites in orbit and instantly corrects the time, is presented in an all-black finish. While retaining its excellent functionality, including world time for 40 time zones, its sharp appearance is further enhanced. Gold accents on the bezel, indices, and hands gleam vibrantly.

The design, which subtly incorporates gold, accentuates the watch's sophisticated image and enhances the joy of ownership. This is a fashion-forward timepiece befitting a watch expected to become a flagship model for CITIZEN in the future.
