Capturing the Charm of Universal's Classic Films from the 1970s-80s! CITIZEN Releases Four Limited Edition Ana-Digi Temp Collaboration Models
From CITIZEN COLLECTION RECORD LABEL, known for its distinctive designs, comes a collaboration between the edgy and retro-futuristic Ana-Digi Temp and Universal's classic films, with four limited edition models released. Pre-orders are currently being accepted on the EC site and at authorized retailers, with the official launch scheduled for Thursday, November 16, 2023.
Watches Featuring Iconic Details from Beloved Classic Films Across Generations
The "Ana-Digi Temp," with its retro-futuristic design, first appeared in the 1980s and remains incredibly popular today. This analog-digital combination watch is characterized by its unique design incorporating a temperature sensor and its exquisite size, making it suitable for anyone to wear. Based on this CITIZEN COLLECTION RECORD LABEL Ana-Digi Temp, four models have been released as limited editions, in collaboration with Universal's popular films: "Back to the Future," "E.T.," "Jurassic Park," and "JAWS." Each watch features an engraved logo on the case back, and comes with a special limited edition box and card.
The "Back to the Future" model captures the image of the time machine's glossy body from the film, expressed through a stainless steel case and a bracelet with clean lines. The metallic silver dial indices feature a font reminiscent of the "time circuit" used to set the destination date and time, and further details will delight fans: the "RADIOACTVE" symbol, inspired by Doc's outfit, on the seconds sub-dial, and the "CALIFORNIA OUTATIME" license plate from the DeLorean on the plate at the lower right of the case.
The "E.T." model features a design that boldly expresses the emotional climax scene across the entire dial. The case and bracelet are colored in a black that evokes the night, and the dial depicts the silhouette of E.T. in Elliott's bicycle basket, flying through a night sky illuminated by a full moon. The tree silhouettes are printed to create a sense of depth, masterfully recreating the memorable scene. The "E.T." title logo is placed on the plate at the lower right of the case.
The "Jurassic Park" model depicts the scene where dinosaurs, revived in the modern era, rampage through a park overgrown with vegetation and in ruins. The hour and minute sub-dial features the Jurassic Park key visual with cracks, and faded lines scattered across the dial. The plate at the lower right of the case bears the "WARNING" logo, indicating restricted access, adding to the powerful design.
The "JAWS" model expresses the shark's ferocity, which instantly turns the blue ocean red, using red and black silhouettes. The seconds sub-dial features indices reminiscent of a shark's sharp teeth, combined with a rifle scope pattern used to aim at the shark.
For all four models, pre-orders are being accepted on the EC site and at authorized retailers, with the launch scheduled for Thursday, November 16, 2023. As these are limited to 200 or 300 units, they are a must-see for both film and watch enthusiasts.
