BREITLING | Superocean II

BREITLING

With New Index Structure & Rotating Bezel
Functionality Dramatically Improved!

The "Superocean," Breitling's signature diver's watch, first appeared in 1957. It has been cherished for years for its classic design, while steadily improving its functions over time, such as enhanced water resistance and improved time accuracy and reliability through chronometer certification.

At this year's Basel Fair, Breitling has completely revamped this classic model, reborn as a diver's watch with a modern style and cutting-edge functionality.

One of its key features is the Arabic numeral index, which has significantly improved legibility with a new font and technology. The linear, easy-to-read numerals are not printed but stamped from metal plates. The surface of these metal plates is satin-finished to create an edge, and by applying them as applied indices, a dial with exceptional legibility has been achieved, making the numerals appear to float from the black dial.

Another feature is the rotating bezel, where forged stainless steel and rubber are integrated at high temperature and pressure, then milled flat to create raised stainless steel numerals and indices. This not only enhances legibility but also provides an excellent operational feel. Furthermore, despite being professional gear, it comes in five color variations coordinating the inner ring and the tip of the second hand. Its specifications include 1500m water resistance and chronometer certification, all at a surprising price in the mid-200,000 yen range.

Automatic, stainless steel case, rubber strap, 42mm case diameter, 1500m water resistance, 25
,7250 yen, scheduled for July release.
