The Timeless Classic Collection: "Portugieser."

A New Chapter Unfolds in Its History.

IWC's flagship model, the "Portugieser." At the 2010 S.I.H.H., the collection saw the debut of an unmissable lineup, including a chronograph, a simple hand-wound model, and a new tourbillon.

As a rare watch brand that embodies both the robust practicality of German watchmaking and the refinement of Swiss craftsmanship, IWC enjoys overwhelming support, particularly from men. While steadfastly preserving its historical style, this premium watch maison, which never stands still, chose to innovate this year with the "Portugieser"—its large-sized classic men's watch, most often described as "quintessentially IWC."

Born in 1939 to meet the demands of Portuguese clients seeking the ultimate precision in a wristwatch, this timepiece utilizes a large, high-precision pocket watch movement.

The first sports model in its history is a chronograph for seafaring gentlemen who enjoy yachting. Furthermore, a simple hand-wound model that honors its roots, a new tourbillon model, and a grand complication model were also added to the lineup. Each of these is an exquisite piece that no watch enthusiast would want to miss.
