New Monaco Models Not to Be Missed

Under the direction of Guy Sémon, Vice President of Technical Development, TAG Heuer has consistently introduced mechanical models that defy industry norms. Year after year, the brand accelerates its technological innovations, paving the way for the future of mechanical watchmaking. At the newly revamped Basel fair, TAG Heuer secured a prime location on the first floor of the main hall, right by the entrance. They captivated visitors of all ages with an exhibition of the "McLaren MP4-12C" supercar.

The new models unveiled at Basel, following the special exhibition held in Geneva in January, once again astonished the watchmaking world. Naturally, the centerpiece of the collection is the "Carrera" line, celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.

The most innovative and unmissable release among these is the "TAG Heuer Carrera Mikropendulum." This groundbreaking timepiece utilizes magnets instead of a traditional hairspring, regulating time through a magnetic oscillator. Building upon the 2010 concept model "TAG Heuer Pendulum Concept," it represents the first watch in history to feature the Pendulum system – a revolutionary regulating mechanism that achieves 1/100th of a second measurement through ultra-high-frequency oscillations driven by the repulsive force of magnets. It is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated new products for watch enthusiasts this year.

Concurrently, an advanced concept model, the "TAG Heuer Carrera Mikropendulumz Concept," was also presented, serving as a higher evolution of this model.

Additionally, the "Carrera" collection sees new models launched at Basel independently. Particularly noteworthy are the "Carrera Calibre 36 Chronograph Flyback," a chronograph with a flyback function, and the "Carrera Grand Date GMT," equipped with a big date display.

Furthermore, from the iconic square-cased chronograph "Monaco," new models include the "Monaco Twenty Four Chronograph," featuring the Advanced Shock Absorber System to mitigate impacts on the movement, and the "Monaco Chronograph Club de Monaco commemorative model." This year's versions stand out with an all-black finish, offering a sharp and sophisticated aesthetic that would appeal to those seeking a distinguished timepiece.
