Measuring Depths to 120 Meters with a Mechanical Dive Watch
The "Raider Bathy 120 MemoDapths" Makes It Possible

Swiss luxury watch brand FAVRE-LEUBA has released its new "Raider Bathy 120 MemoDapths." It is the world's first dive watch capable of measuring depths down to 120 meters, featuring a "MemoDapths" function that records the maximum depth reached. This is a reliable dive watch that will be your partner in deep-sea exploration.

An Anniversary Model Commemorating 50 Years of the Legendary "Bathy"

FAVRE-LEUBA, located in Solothurn at the southern foot of the Jura Mountains in Switzerland, has continued to research and develop new functions for mechanical watches with the goal of "providing practical timepieces for harsh natural environments."

And in 2018, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the "Bathy," the world's first wristwatch with a depth gauge manufactured by FAVRE-LEUBA in 1968, the brand released its successor model, the "Raider Bathy 120 MemoDapths," embarking on a new world first.

It is the world's first mechanical wristwatch capable of measuring depths up to 120 meters and features a "MemoDapths" function that records the maximum depth reached.

The depth gauge takes in water through an opening in the case back. As water pressure increases, it pushes out a proprietary "membrane" from the case back into a chamber. A mechanical device detects changes in the membrane, transmitting them to the depth hand to display the diving depth. The opening for the depth gauge is sealed, isolating it from the movement and preventing any impact on the internal mechanism.

This proprietary "membrane" technology allows for extremely precise depth measurement down to 120 meters.

The depth gauge features red markers at 5 and 10 meters, indicating depths where decompression stops are necessary, and the scale is finely graduated up to 30 meters.

Furthermore, the "Raider Bathy 120 MemoDapths" is equipped with a mechanical recording device, the "MemoDapths," which logs the maximum depth reached during a dive. The depth gauge at 3 o'clock displays the maximum depth until it is reset by the screw-down pusher at 4 o'clock.

The design of the "Raider Bathy 120 MemoDapths" features vibrant and practical color schemes, paying homage to the original "Bathy" model.

Its exterior, inspired by the principle of "form follows function," harmoniously blends FAVRE-LEUBA's heritage with contemporary design.

Even in the deep sea where light barely penetrates, the dial's legibility is maintained, allowing for easy reading of essential information.
