Alpina's First UV Sensor

In 1938, Alpina established the concept of the modern Swiss sports watch with the "Alpina 4." The "4" signified exceptional quality, durability, precision, and design, principles that continue to inform many of Alpina's current models.

This year marks the arrival of the "Alpiner X," a smartwatch optimized with features for outdoor enthusiasts.

This model features Alpina's first UV (ultraviolet) sensor, positioned beneath the index at 9 o'clock, which measures UV intensity from sunlight. The readings are displayed on the digital screen at 6 o'clock and within the official "Alpiner X" app, where data can also be managed.

An environmental sensor is integrated at the 12 o'clock position of the case, measuring ambient temperature, altitude, and barometric pressure, while the compass provides location data. These measurements are taken in real-time and displayed on the digital screen alongside time, date, activity, and stopwatch functions.

The watch also incorporates Alpina's proprietary "Horological Smartwatch" technology, offering notifications for missed calls and messages, activity tracking for steps and calories burned, and sleep monitoring for recording and analyzing sleep patterns.

While UV radiation levels are globally on the rise, few timepieces offer UV measurement capabilities. Furthermore, despite its extensive functionality, the watch presents exceptional value at ¥121,000 (excluding tax). It is available in four color variations.
