Two Original Models
Founded in 1993, de GRISOGONO is a high jewelry brand. The maison began crafting timepieces in 2000, releasing a variety of unique pieces to the world.
Among these, the "New Retro Collection," launched in 2015, has become the brand's flagship timepiece, characterized by its simple form and original design.
The New Retro Collection is inspired by the styles of the 1950s, featuring a case known as wide rectangular. The crown is positioned at 12 o'clock, and the case is formed with plump lines. The sapphire crystal is also dome-shaped to match the case lines, creating a beautiful sense of unity.
This year, the "New Retro Power Reserve" joined the New Retro Collection. The company's proprietary movement is composed of just 181 parts, with a balance wheel with regulation screws and symmetrically placed barrels, while other components are arranged for maximum efficiency and aesthetic appeal.
The gears are satin-finished, the ratchet wheel features a sunburst finish, and the main plate and bridges are sandblasted, showcasing meticulous attention to detail. The power reserve indicator is placed at 12 o'clock. The ability to see the remaining winding level in conjunction with the barrel's state is a unique feature of this model.
The other new model is the "New Retro Double Jeu," meaning "two jewels." These two jewels are the numerals 3 and 9, adorned with diamonds. The dial features a dual display, front and back, with 31 white diamonds (0.20 ct) on the front and 31 black diamonds (0.20 ct) on the back. This brings the rotating numeral mechanism to life.
The rotor, located on the back, is responsible for rotating these "double jewels," and this rotor exists solely to rotate the double jewels.
The watch itself is quartz-powered, adding to its playful character.
