At BASELWORLD 2018, a significant new model was unveiled to celebrate the 55th anniversary of TAG Heuer's iconic "CARRERA" series.

A Unique Collection Featuring Limited Editions with Complex Mechanisms
Celebrating 55 years since its debut in 1963, the "TAG Heuer Carrera" anniversary model was unveiled at BASELWORLD 2018.
The "TAG Heuer Carrera Tête de Vipère Chronograph Tourbillon" is a highly accurate tourbillon chronograph powered by the in-house Calibre Heuer 02T movement. It is the first TAG Heuer watch to be certified as a chronometer by the Besançon Observatory in France.
The unique "Tête de Vipère" (viper's head) engraving, a mark of exceptional quality and precision in watchmaking, signifies its status as a Besançon Observatory-certified chronometer.
This model is a timepiece that masterfully blends advanced watchmaking expertise with a stunning design featuring blue ceramic.
Next, the "TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre Heuer 02 Chronograph GMT" is a chronograph that marks the first time the in-house Calibre Heuer 02 movement has been equipped with a GMT function.
It inherits the design codes and DNA of the "TAG Heuer Carrera" that debuted in 1963, featuring counters at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions, just like the original model.
The second time zone can be read using the lacquered red hand and the black and blue ceramic bezel with a 24-hour display.
And the "TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre 16 Chronograph" is the latest addition to this best-selling series.
Its sporty, vintage-inspired design symbolizes TAG Heuer's rich history in motor racing timing.
Equipped with a highly reliable movement and showcasing a meticulously crafted exterior, it exudes the presence of a top-tier timepiece. Its long, sharp lugs, the scale placed on the flange to enhance the dial's perceived size, and other design elements inherited from the Carrera's inception...
...further elevate its sporty aesthetic, presenting it as an icon of timeless style.
TAG Heuer has focused on producing high-quality chronographs over the past few years, and judging by this year's Carrera releases, they have fully achieved that goal. They pair their manufacture movements with complex modules and imbue even their standard movements with thoughtfully designed features.
