Enjoy the Contrast of Bronze and High-Tech Ceramic
A limited edition has arrived in Rado's signature "HyperChrome" collection, which is sporty, chic, and suitable for any occasion throughout the day. This timepiece, limited to 999 pieces worldwide, is a model that fuses two ideal materials for a watch: bronze, which expresses the passage of time with its rich luster, and high-tech ceramic, which boasts exceptional scratch resistance and lightness.
Lidewij Edelkoort, a leading trend forecaster, states, "The need for true materiality is driving designers in unusual directions, towards quirky and wild ideas, and the exploration of primal materials like lava, metal, and bronze." Rado, known for its pioneering use of materials in watchmaking, has indeed combined bronze, humanity's oldest alloy, with the modern material of high-tech ceramic, resulting in this bronze edition, just as Edelkoort described.
Bronze is used for the side inserts and chronograph pushers. The rose gold-colored hands and indices also harmonize beautifully with the delicate, metallic luster of the bronze.
Over time, the bronze will deepen in color, developing a matte, vintage-like luster. This, in contrast with the high-tech ceramic, gives the watch an even greater presence.
