A Historic Model from 1939 Reappears, Preserving Its Original Charm

This year marks MIDO's 100th anniversary, and the brand is celebrating with a series of ambitious releases. In January, they unveiled the "Commander Big Date," featuring the "Caliber 80" movement specifically developed for MIDO by ETA. Now, they reveal the "Multifort Date-Mido Limited Edition," a timepiece that evokes the brand's rich history.

The "Multifort Date-Mido Limited Edition" is a revival of a model featured in the 1939 catalog, distinguished by its unique needle-style date display. Its re-emergence is particularly significant for the brand at this pivotal moment.

The 2018 iteration boasts a 40mm rose gold-colored stainless steel case. In homage to the brand's founding year, it is produced in a limited edition of 1,918 pieces worldwide. The dial, simple and functional, is adorned in a warm hue, exuding a timeless appeal.

The official release date and pricing are expected to be announced at BASELWORLD 2018. We eagerly await further details on the "Multifort Date-Mido Limited Edition."
