A Mystery Unveiled at First Glance

Reinterpreting the Latin phrases "Memento Mori" and "Carpe Diem," which signify living life to the fullest and cherishing the present moment, these concepts blossom into rings and necklaces adorned with skull motifs.

Within this skull lies a mystery that cannot be solved at first glance.

The yellow gold and amethyst skulls are embellished with a four-leaf clover, Christian Dior's lucky charm. Meanwhile, the white gold and blue chalcedony skulls are crowned with lily of the valley, one of the couturier's beloved flowers. He was known to wear lily of the valley in his buttonhole or discreetly adorn the edges of his haute couture gowns with them.

The three chosen stones also carry psychological significance: the deep blue of chalcedony symbolizes strength, pink quartz offers tranquility, and amethyst represents harmony. The Maison selected only stones with natural, soft hues and perfect saturation, and each skull is meticulously hand-engraved by skilled artisans.

Christian Dior once wrote in his own book, "Work and pleasure – whatever you do, do it with passion! Live with passion!" This new collection serves as a bridge, connecting Monsieur Dior, who embodied the philosophy of "Memento Mori" and "Carpe Diem" through his adventurous spirit, with us.
